AGAPE travels to some of the most distant and remote places in Russia, in order to help people with their medical needs, and Share God's love. Unless Agape Goes here, there is little if any chance these people who are loved by God will ever learn about Him. Jesus said we must literally GO to the "ends of the Earth", and Paul spoke in Romans 15:20 about going where never a church was started and where others have not been. In the true sense of missions, Agape Medical Center is trying to do just that.

Washing Dishes in the teepee.
The dogs were always barking outside, and ... no,... the dogs did not lick the plates clean so we could use them again!! The dishes were washed after each meal and put away in a box. Water was boiled on the stove, and then the dishes were put in a dishpan with the hot water, and carefully washed with the bare hands and ..... no soap was used. Then they were placed on the table to drain, dried, and put back in the box I was sitting on until next time.

The people are glad to see us, and it is a holiday for them to have visitors, especially an American doctor. Telling them I am from America means nothing to them. They do not know or understand or care much about the rest of the world. They have NO TV or electricity, running water, etc. Once they had a radio, but when the battery went dead, they decided .....NOT to replace the battery. They said, "when we listened it made us worry,.... so "WE" decided to stop".
There are no chairs or furniture, and the little table was only about 12-16 inches high, so I sat on a small box that held the dishes. My knees were in my face, but after awhile you get used to it. It is really silent inside, especially .......when your knees are covering your ears!
