Hi, my name is Christine. I have been working in Agape for the past 3.5 years. I graduated from the Moscow University of Energy, but after my graduation I decided to work in Agape and help bring God's love to the Ends of the Earth rather than to be an engineer.
I was looking for God as long as I can remember, and after my first year of studying in the University I met some Christians. I was so happy to find people who can help me learn more about God. They gave me a New Testament in English, and so the first book I read in English was the Bible. At the same time I started to attend Bible Studies.
I have learned about God's Love through reading the Bible and also from things that happened in my life.
Let me share with you one very precious story that happened to me.

| I was born in Tajikistan. It may be difficult to find on the map... but it used to be a part of the Soviet Union in central Asia near the Kazakhstan border. Although I came to Moscow in 1992 to study my parents still lived in the city of Dushanbe. After I finished my second year at the University I wanted to go home and visit my parents and granny. But, I had no money, and there were no more trains going to my hometown. What to do? So, I decided to get into a train that runs in the same direction as my home but with no ticket, and then I would try to get as close to my home town as possible and WALK the rest of the distance (450KM)!!! I agree it was crazy but what else can you do, if you badly want to visit your parents and see if they are OK?
Don't worry; God also thought that it was crazy, so, He didn't let me to do this. Just before going to the train station I went to visit my Christian friends and asked them to pray for me. When they understood my crazy plan they immediately called all their friends trying to find some money for me to buy at least a ticket. On the first phone call they got all the money that I needed. The man they called was actually looking for a person in need to give money too!
It was so nice. I had a ticket to the closest town (but still 24 hours of travel by train from my hometown) and I hoped that somehow I could get to my home from there. When I boarded the train I had no idea about how I am going to cover the rest of the distance to my home. But after arriving at this town closest to my home, I found a freight train going to my hometown. This train ran ONLY ONCE A WEEK and was not listed in any of the timetables. The conductor of this freight train let me and some more people get in a boxcar. Finally I could see the end of my trip and then ... something happened. On the Tajikistan territory some bad guys stopped the train, and there were only 5 of us inside the car. Three girls and two boys. One guy was a native and overheard the bad guys talking and then he told us: "THEY WANT TO KILL US!" and he prepared his knife ready to fight for our lives. All the women, including me, were petrified. And I started to pray: "I know that you are the Lord of my life and you can take it any time You want but can you let me see my parents first before You take it, May be even on my way back to Moscow?"
God did not take my life this time, and the Bad guys left as unexpectedly as they came without harming us and the train went on.
Finally I arrived, "home sweet home". But nobody answered the phone. I called again and again but still no answer. So, I prayed again. "Dear God. Please help me to reach my parents. I am hardly alive and I need to know if everything is OK with them".
Nothing is too difficult for God, and on the next phone call I was able to hear my granny's voice, but she sounded very scared. My granny had been on the balcony when I called and not able to hear the phone ring. But after I prayed she heard A VOICE. This voice called her by name, and she went out onto the balcony to look down in the street, but nobody was there, she ran to open the door and nobody was there. She was standing at the phone thinking where this voice was coming from when I called on the phone!
Later on my dad and mom came home. Everything was great and I was able to tell my dearest family about what God did for me and how much He loves me and them. When it was time to go back to Moscow I was very worried about my mom. I thought "she will not sleep for 4 days while I am on my way back, because it is really dangerous to travel to my home country and back. So, when I told her not to worry about me, and that I will be all right she answered: "I don't worry, I know that God loves you!"
