#1 "Unreached" people groups

In Russia, there are more than 50 "unreached" people groups living isolated from the rest of the world. Agape helps these "unreached" people groups by providing for their medical needs and by sharing God's love with them. Agape goes where no one else wants to go.

#2 Russian Orphanages

There are 3 million orphans and homeless children in Russia. Statistics sadly show that after leaving the orphanage, 80% of the girls become prostitutes, 40% of these children become drug addicts, 50% are incarcerated, and more than 10% commit suicide. Agape works with orphanages by providing children with medical help and school supplies, by helping with construcion projects, and by sharing God’s Love. Orphanages are filled with children who want to know more about Jesus Christ.

Please pray for these children and that God will give them a better future with an opportunity to hear about His Love for them.

#3 Isolated Villages

The Russian government has stated that 1/3 of the villages in Russia do not have a road to the outside world. Agape travels by truck, jeep, car, helicopter, riverboat, wagon, horseback, snowmobile, and horse or reindeer sleigh to reach these remote villages located at the “Ends of the Earth.” Why? Unless Agape goes to share the Love of God, there is little chance people in these villages will ever hear about the Christ’s redeeming work. These villages have no pastors, churches, Bibles, Christian literature, Christian Radios, Christian TV stations, or other Christians to tell them about God. All they can do is look at the stars and “wonder” if there really is a God, and if there is a God... does He care anything about them?

Please pray that God will send "laborers" (both medical and non-medical) to travel with Agape to share the Love of God in isolated villages all across Russia.

#4 Eyeglasses

Imagine you could not read a newspaper, a book, or even see your children clearly, simply because you needed eyeglasses. If you live in an isolated village in Siberia or on the Tundra, this is often the reality. Agape provides FREE eyeglasses, giving people "the gift of sight." With their new eyeglasses, many are reading the Bible for the first time.

Please pray for the resources to continue and expand this ministry. We need eyeglasses, equipment, supplies, and especially (non-medical) laborers that will GO to the remote areas across Russia and fit reading glasses.

#5 Agape Health Kits

Agape Health Kits have the potential to save lives and relieve common aches and pains in the remote villages where access to health care is severely limited. Each Health Kit is designed for a family of 4 and contains the basic medicines needed by people in these remote areas. Each kit also contains a New Testament and Christian literature. This practical gift opens many doors to share the Love of God and keeps giving long after the Agape team is gone.

Please pray for funds to purchase medicines and supplies for the kits. Each kit costs $25. Also, please pray for laborers who will COME and help us deliver the health kits.

#6 The Word of God

This is a lady sitting on a pile of snow outside her Arctic home, reading the Bible in her own language. In these remote areas, families often read the Word of God on long winter nights huddled in their teepees. The Word continues to work in their hearts long after Agape has left the area.

Please pray for open hearts and the financial resources needed to take God's Word in printed form to these remote places.

#7 Laborers

"GO and make disciples of all nations… As the Father has sent me, so I SEND you…" These are the words of Jesus. He commands us to “GO.” The harvest fields are ripe and everyday Agape prays for more laborers to come with us. God wants willing hearts and laborers more than money.

Please pray for laborers who will GO with Agape, and for churches and individuals who will SEND laborers to the remote parts of Russia.

#8 Safety and Transportation

Agape travels to the remote areas by helicopters, riverboats, reindeer sleighs, 6x6 trucks, snowmobiles, horseback, jeeps and sometimes on foot…whatever it takes to get there. Often these roads, trails, and rivers are very dangerous, impassable, not marked or just plain non-existent. It is easy to get lost without a reliable guide and sometimes THEY get lost!

Please pray for our safety and the finances needed to rent the vehicles.

#9 Russian Families Living at the "Ends of the Earth"

This family of 5 live in one room, sleep in one bed. Their kitchen is a sink that you can see behind them. The toilet is at the end of the hall and the place is cold, drafty, full of cockroaches, rats, and dirt. Yet, these families want to know about God.

Please pray for Agape to have the resources and staff needed to invite them into the "family" of God.

#10 Agape Staff

Agape staff is comprised of compassionate Russian doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, accountants, and other non-medical staff. We have the Biblical responsibility to SEND our staff to share the Love of God in both deeds and words with the “forgotten” people of Russia.

Please pray for the physical and financial resources to teach and train our Russian staff how to share God’s Love effectively. Pray also for the resources to SEND them to the "forgotten" people of Russia.

#11 Family Medical/Birthing Center–Agape House

Agape has a vision to build a Christian Family Medical/Birthing Center plus Agape House in Russia. This demonstration project will provide and teach compassionate medical care to Russian families from Birth to Death. Russian physicians will be taught in partnership by Russian and western medical universities to produce a NEW kind of Russian doctor. The Agape House will bring children and one parent from the Arctic North and Siberia to Moscow to receive medical care. Moscow is expensive and often these parents have no place to live. Christian families will live in the Agape House to show God’s Love during the time these families are there. This facility would also train pastors and certify them to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of sick people in their home town.

Please pray for the finances needed to purchase enough land for a Birthing Center, Family Medical Clinic, and Agape House that can minister to Russian families for the next 100 years!

#12 Arctic Families and Children

There are millions of people living on the frozen tundra above the Arctic Circle in Russia. They have little or no opportunity to learn about God because of their isolated life. Yet, Agape understands that they are as important to God as anyone else.

Please pray for the resources and “open doors” so that Agape can GO to these isolated areas and share the Love of God with these Arctic families.

#13 Nomadic Families in Siberia

This photo is of a nomadic family living in Siberia. Their house is called a yurt, and the closest point to civilization is a about 200 miles away. They live here with no electricity, running water, TV, radio, or connection to the outside world. They can only look at the stars and wonder if there is a God. There is little, if any, chance they will ever hear the Gospel unless Agape travels here.

Please pray that Agape can find the finances to GO to these nomadic families and share the Love of God with them.

#14 "Just One" Project

Agape invites churches to "be involved" by sending us "JUST ONE" laborer each year! Just one! We need both medical and non-medical people. We can teach non-medical people to fit eyeglasses or they can pass out Agape home health kits and humanitarian aid to needy families. Sending "JUST ONE" servant each year to GO with Agape can easily be accomplished with a "pocket change for missions" program. The church will see and hear first-hand exciting reports about what God is doing among the "unreached" people in Russia. If one church sent "JUST ONE," approximately 400 people would be impacted for Christ. If 20 churches sent "JUST ONE," 8,000 people would be impacted for Christ!

#10-01 Impetigo

Children living in isolated areas of Russia are often infected with skin diseases which could easily be treated with basic penicillin, but all too often penicillin or other antibiotics are simply not available in many remote villages. A lack of antibiotics often causes large numbers of rural children to develop serious heart and kidney diseases, such as Rheumatic Fever and Nephritis. Agape can help bring medicines to divert many of these serious complications.

#10-02 The Tyvan Shepherd girl

Spanning 11 time zones, incorporating dozens of ethnic groups, Russia is a vast and diverse land which has undergone much turmoil over the past centuries. Now she faces many economic, political, and demographic challenges. For example, the country’s death rate now exceeds its birth rate. Agape brings the Love of God to people like this shepherd girl, to everyone who’s heart is open.

#10-03 Arctic Baptism through the Ice

A decision for Christ is a serious commitment for Russian prisoners. Unjustly accused or truly repentent of their wrong doing, they often want to be baptized immediately, even if it means “through the ice.” Pray they will “stand firm” in their new faith.

#10-04 Horse Sleigh travelling through the Russian forest to a medical clinic

Sometimes Agape travels by horse sleigh to reach isolated villages deep in the forest. Often these villages have little medical care, few resources and supplies, and certainly no churches. Many villagers in eastern Russia turn to Shaman spirit priests to help them with medical and spiritual problems because they have not heard the truth of God’s Word.

#10-05 First Doctor Visit

Many people living on the Tundra have never seen a doctor. This young lady laughs nervously as she is being examined. Agape brings compassionate medical care where no one else wants to go.

#10-06 Travel across the Tundra

At times people travel more than 24 hours by reindeer sleigh to bring their sick children and relatives to our medical clinics on the Tundra or our team travels for hours by snowmobile to reach them. Sometimes people have to travel 2 days by reindeer sleigh in hopes of buying an aspirin for a headache. These people have little or no access to medical care, but their hearts are open to hearing about God’s love for them.

#10-07 Nenets (Eskimo) Children

Nenets children who live on the Tundra are taken from their parents and sent to study in boarding schools, separated from their homes. These children want to hear about God. How are they going to HEAR unless SOMEONE GOES?
